About the job

As a Defect Control Engineer-Level II in Line Maintenance Production Control you will Ensure enhancement of overall aircraft performance and ensure continued Airworthiness by providing in depth technical recommendations on emerging aircraft fleet issues. This includes continuous defect monitoring and effective management of deferred defects. Ensure essential technical and operational support is provided, contributing to managing deferred defects to an acceptable target and maximizing fleet reliability.

Operational Accountabilities;

  • Management of the fleet Deferred Defects and to ensure all are updated to expected quality level before due date.
  • To ensure proper trouble shooting recommendations are provided following Technical Documentations review and reflected in TSR /DDs to effectively support Technical Production where applicable.
  • Continuously analysis recurrent defects that require second level of troubleshooting to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Monitoring fleet defects through OEM health monitoring platforms (AHM and SHM) and proactively provide rectification recommendations through TSR in a timely manner.
  • To manage component on hold, following the organization policies and procedures.
  • To support Fleet manager with required information’s and reports as required by the business
  • Collaborate with the technical department stakeholders such as Supply chain, Engineering, Planning and MOCC as to initiate CRMs, Maintenance slot request, and Component robbery as applicable.
  • Provide Technical on demand guidance to production teams during Doha AOG and OOS events.
  • To Participate in daily production meetings not limiting to Morning Operational meetings, Delay defect review meetings.
  • To ensure all legislative and Company procedures are adhered to in order to ensure that the Company remains compliant and airworthy. To endeavor as far as practical, to ensure that aircraft targets are achieved.
  • Comply with Company Safety Management System.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Minimum 05 Years of Certifying Experience.
  • Degree or Equivalent Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Minimum 02 type Authorization in QR Fleet.
  • QCAA B1 or B2 License.
  • In-depth knowledge of company/regulatory procedures.
