
Lead Marketing & Communications Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Chnnel and coordinate all incoming confidential and non-confidential requests from the COO’s Office, executive leadership, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities.
- Act as liaison between department and internal functions (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Legal) to ensure smooth approvals and execution of operational processes.
- Provide day-to-day operational oversight across the department, ensuring that projects are executed in line with established plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Create and maintain master calendars, project trackers and reporting cadences to monitor progress, milestones, and risks. And to provide department leadership with a consolidated view of project status and next steps.
- Track budgets and support financial control processes, including purchase requests, vendor coordination, and alignment with Finance for accurate reporting.
- Coordinate logistics and administration for cross-functional meetings, including scheduling, agenda planning, minute-taking, and tracking of follow-ups.
- Support enforcement of operational governance by ensuring adherence to departmental workflows, approval protocols, and documentation standards.
- Identify and escalate delivery bottlenecks or operational inefficiencies, proposing improvements to enhance execution.
- Support onboarding and integration of new hires, agency partners, and temporary staff by overseeing setup processes and resource alignment.
- Manage a team of administrative staff, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a systems-thinking approach
- Excellent coordination and follow-through capabilities across multiple teams, command of English and Arabic Language
- Financial acumen and experience handling large, multi-stream budgets
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools (e.g., Teams Planner)
- Effective communicator with a service mindset and collaborative approach
- Ability to anticipate risks and proactively identify operational solutions
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
