We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of infrastructure design projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight for multiple concurrent design programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, quality standards, and client expectations.
The portfolio includes projects across drainage networks, utilities, highways, tunneling, transportation infrastructure, and urban development. This role requires a strong leader capable of driving performance, managing risk, and ensuring delivery excellence across a multi-disciplinary, multi-project environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Provide overall leadership and direction for a portfolio of complex infrastructure design projects.
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent quality, schedule adherence, and budget control across all projects.
• Oversee project directors, managers, and discipline leads to ensure effective resource utilization and performance.
• Monitor and report on portfolio-wide progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the design delivery process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a senior liaison with clients, authorities, and key stakeholders at a portfolio level.
• Support business development activities through strategic input, proposal oversight, and client relationship management.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a recognized Western institution (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20+ years of professional experience in infrastructure design and project delivery, with significant portfolio or program management experience.
• Proven track record overseeing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, including drainage, utilities, highways, tunneling, and related infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of regional design codes, standards, and permitting processes in the Gulf region.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
