CONTEXT

Responsible for analyzing market trends, user data, and business performance to drive strategic decisions related to Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms and streaming services.

The OTT Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market trends, user data, and business performance to drive strategic decisions related to Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms and streaming services. This role involves gathering and interpreting data, identifying opportunities for growth, and providing actionable insights to optimize the OTT business.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute test cases to validate the functionality of OTT applications, including user interfaces, video playback, content management, and user authentication.
  • Collect and analyze user data, viewer behavior, and market trends to gain insights into user preferences and content consumption patterns.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to track and report on OTT platform performance.
  • Conduct market research to assess competitive landscape and industry trends in the OTT space.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and services to identify potential opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with content acquisition teams to analyze the performance of existing content libraries.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for content acquisition, licensing, and content development strategies.
  • Analyze user feedback and behavior to improve the user experience on OTT platforms.
  • Work with UX/UI teams to recommend and implement improvements in platform design and navigation.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue streams, including subscriptions, advertising, and partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize revenue generation and pricing strategies.
  • Assist in the development of business plans, financial models, and forecasts for the OTT business.
  • Provide input on budgeting, cost analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate findings and insights to cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business analysis, or market research, preferably in the OTT or digital media industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with OTT technologies and digital content distribution is a plus.
  • BSc in information technology, computer science or equivalent field
  • International experience, preferably in the MENA and SEA regions.
