Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Senior Vice President, Commercial will hold a leading role in all commercial activities across the organization’s data center portfolio in the MENA region. This senior position will drive revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand market presence while ensuring operational excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to achieve company’s growth objectives in the operating countries and the region
Identify and pursue new opportunities across different countries
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key hyperscale customers, and government entities.
Business Development & Sales
Drive revenue growth across hyperscale colocation sales, wholesale and AI deployments
Establish and maintain relationships hyperscalers, OPCOs and AI providers.
Lead complex contract negotiations for major deals
Develop in consultation with Senior Management the pricing strategies and commercial models aligned with market conditions
Create and implement go-to-market strategies for each country
Market & Customer Focus
Stay current with regional data center market trends and competitive landscape
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Develop strategies to expand share of wallet within existing customer base
Drive innovation in service offerings based on customer needs
Team Leadership
Build and lead high-performing commercial team
Mentor and develop senior commercial talent across the organization
Foster a culture of customer-centricity and excellence in service delivery
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in technology/data center industry
- At least 8 years in senior commercial leadership roles
- Proven track record in data center, cloud, or similar infrastructure services
- Experience working in MENA region and understanding of local business culture
Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of data center infrastructure and operations
- Knowledge of cloud computing ecosystem and trends
- Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure and connectivity
- Understanding of power infrastructure and sustainability considerations
Business Skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience in managing P&L responsibilities
- Track record of closing large, complex deals
Other Requirements
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills highly preferred
- Understanding of regional business practices and cultural nuances
- Experience working in MENA Region
- Willingness to travel within the region
