Job Specific Skills
- Conversant with all aspects of safety with high voltage installations.
- IR Thermography: Shall have certification in Thermography Level-1 by an accredited institute.
- Shall have certification and undergone required training for their respective fields.
- Shall be aware of all safety aspects and risks.
- Shall have sound knowledge of various types of PD detecting methods as required by the contract.
- Should have Knowledge of Testing data analysis, identify abnormalities, and give recommendation on basis of results.
Job Purpose
- Online/Offline Condition Monitoring of Electrical Distribution assets.
- Should perform IR thermography and Partial Discharge of Transformer, switchgear, RMU, feeder pillars, Package units etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Partial Discharge /Infrared Thermography measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition.
- Supervision of the site crew and ensure that work is carried out as per approved method statement.
- In case of abnormalities in results, prepare urgent reports to Team Leader.
- Ensure prevention of damage to plant & equipment of KM occasioned by Contractor’s work.
- Carry out all the required measurements at site and use his experience and skills to effectively detect the abnormalities and evaluate severity/asset condition.
- Understanding and applying the project Plan in the execution of the work.
- Conduct site progress inspections accordingly reports to be submitted on the defined time frame.
- Identifying system conditions that are abnormal, to determining their cause, and to recommend corrective actions.
- Executing work in a manner compliant with the project budget and schedule.

Qualifications, Experience And Skills
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or minimum Three-year Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, university, or college acceptable to KM.
Experience
- 5 years in electrical transmission and distribution substations.
