Construction & Hook Up Engineer

Airswift is seeking for Construction & Hook Up Engineer to work in Qatar/Oman/India with a major Oil & Gas Company.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s or technical degree (HND/C)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for preparation and follow-up of the onshore fabrication and offshore construction, Integration & hook-up activities to the works related to Project, including:
Scope And Development
- To support the organization and to participate to EPCIC Contractor offshore surveys for proper preparation and definition of offshore activities.
- To ensure EPCIC CONTRACTOR and associated SUBCONTRACTORS preparation of required procedures – method statement – schedule – resources plan in timely and quality manner to prepare and coordinate the onshore fabrication and offshore construction & hook-up activities.
- To attend to all the project’s meetings to provide construction, T&I and hook-up inputs and support to Brownfield team.
- To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all the technical requirements to ensure the project is sufficiently prepared and matured to go for site execution.
- To provide technical inputs and shutdown definition / preparation to obtain a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, installation sequence, pre-com/com dossiers …).
- To review/confirm the POB requirements as defined by EPCIC CONTRACTOR and ensure they are in line with Logistics and offshore operational and SIMOPS constraints.
- To technically interface for all SIMOPS aspects of the project
- To technically interface for all Marine aspects and specific transportation and load out aspects.
- To follow and coordinate, with support of the material coordinator, EPCIC Contractor material delivery offshore – and backload.
- To organize and to supervise yard visits and offshore site surveys of EPCIC CONTRACTOR and associated SUBCONTRACTORS,
- To interface with other disciplines during the various phases of EPCIC detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation.
- To monitor Fabrication, site construction & hook-up KPI’s for project
- To participate to Project reporting (progress and risks),
- To contribute to weekly and monthly meetings with EPCIC CONTRACTOR,
- To follow-up and report the progress of the works onshore and offshore, with analysis of the performances, on daily basis.
- To ensure the Management of Change in scope, organization, schedule, … if required and assessment of resulting cost and schedule impact, related to Construction, T&I and hook-up activities.
- To liaise with Lead construction for all requirement leading to scope change
- To keep the team committed to targets defined by the project management
- To ensure mobilization of manpower, equipment and all required resources are correctly arranged by CONTRACTOR
Schedule Development
- To provide inputs to related to SIMOPS – early preparation works – brownfield preparation and shutdown works.
- To follow EPCIC construction activities are in accordance with prioritization agreed with the Brownfield team, based on emergency, safety, production and future development critical needs,
- During execution promote alternative solutions to reduce and optimise the duration of offshore integration works.
- To assist defining WORK TIME SCHEDULE with objective to reduce the costs and optimize the duration and to ensure compliance with these up to Project Close-out.
Risk Management
- Participate to risk analysis as required for the good performance of the works,
- To ensure that relevant feedback/REX from previous similar projects are considered,
- To participate to HAZID’s, HAZOP, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments and JSA’s when required.
- To participate and give construction & hook-up inputs on Project SIMOPS Dossier when required.
Assurance And Governance
- To co-ordinate with Project QA/QC Engineer for all quality matters, including the management of quality audits as well as needed for a continuous control of Contractors/Subcontractors, the quality control during the fabrication activities, etc.
- To follow Pre-commissioning dossier preparation and readiness.
- To ensure as-building process is correctly implemented
- Resource Management:
- To ensure that the resources and organisation from EPCIC Contractor are adequate with regards to the workload.
- To review Contractor’s progress reports related to onshore mobilization (materials, equipment
- To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by Brownfield package manager.
EXPERIENCE
- Technical background with a minimum of 10-year experience in construction of O&G installations with relevant experience in EPC contract execution.
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practice in Project Construction Management
- Management of multicultural team
- Experience in offshore construction and hook-up activities under SIMOPS and Brownfield conditions.
- Experience of similar EPC project
- Experience within a project team: At least 8 years’ experience within large multinational taskforce team environment,
- Track records of offshore brownfield projects,
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings with physical capabilities to visit offshore site
