As the Director of Infrastructure, you will oversee and manage the entire IT infrastructure. Your role is crucial in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our platform to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices to support our growth and innovation.

(Some of) What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute a strategic infrastructure plan aligning with company goals and growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, ensuring stability and scalability of servers, networks, storage, and applications.
  • Manage cloud services and infrastructure for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Develop and implement incident response protocols, leading efforts to resolve infrastructure issues quickly and effectively.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while meeting business requirements.
  • Work closely with the development, product, and operations teams to support new initiatives and improve existing processes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure.

Attitude matters most but do you have any of these?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, virtualization, and storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: Experience in the food delivery or e-commerce industry.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
