Primary Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for ensuring QatarEnergy infection control strategies in line with Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) requirements are implemented to prevent avoidable healthcare associated infections (HCAIs) at all levels in QatarEnergy Healthcare Department
• Provide assurance to the Healthcare department Leadership Team that systems are in place and correct policies and procedures are adhered to across the organization to ensure safe and effective healthcare
• Enable the organization to continuously improve its performance in relation to HCAIs

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• 10+ years post graduate experience in healthcare discipline of which 5 years as corporate/ lead infection prevention and control role (essential)
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills (essential)
• Proven leadership skills in infection prevention and control role (essential)
• Excellent skills and knowledge data collection, analysis and submission (essential)
• Proficient in English, written and verbal (essential) and knowledge of Arabic (desirable)
• Facilitation and conflict management skills (essential)
• Must maintain confidentiality (essential)

Qualifications

• 4 years recognized Bachelor’s Degree in nursing studies (essential)
• License to practice as registered nurse in Qatar (essential)
• Diploma or an additional qualification in the field of Infection Prevention and Control (essential
